Why Hulu is Great

Hulu is generally proclaimed to be great because it offers free television content with minimal ads. You can get the latest and greatest television series such as the Sarah Connor Chronicles and House within a week of their premiere on TV (and some within hours). And that’s fantastic, but there’s an underlying factor which makes Hulu truly great.

Comments. Wait, what? Why are comments so great when other video services have been using them for years? Well, it’s simple. Those other video services don’t host television series. They host user-generated content. Big difference. You see, comments on Hulu act like mini-reviews. Viewers have the ability to voice their opinion on a particular episode of a series. This in turn helps the writes, producers, etc of the show to fix any errors, or keep doing what their consumers enjoy.

For example: For the entire second season of the Sarah Connor Chronicles, viewers have consistently stated that each episode is constantly getting worse and that the series is losing its appeal. Well in the latest episode that all changed where the series took a dramatic shift from boring story to tons of action and a compelling story.

The response as been astronomical. Not a single negative comment at the time of this post being written. Apparently the writers took note of what Hulu users (and possibly other forum goers) were saying about their episodes and fixed it in one fantastic episode.

Conclusion? Leave comments on Hulu. Voice your opinion. It will get to the writers, and they will fix their errors in order to make their shows as good as possible.
