I'm just a video post production major currently in college who likes to dabble in all things tech.

A lot of people applaud the user interface of Photoshop in Mac OS X. It’s something different from most other photo editors and has a unique feel to it. But in terms of productivity it’s far from efficient. Clicking out of Photoshop will make the main interface disappear. Now in some cases this is good, but more often than not you will accidentally click out of the Photoshop window, slowing you down and potentially costing you money.

Luckily in Photoshop CS4 for Mac, the ability to make everything go into a single window was added so that Windows Photoshop users can more easily transition into the Mac version. Here’s how to enable it.

Go to Windows > Application Frame.

And that’s all you need to do! Once enabled Photoshop will automatically throw everything into one window. You can still drag photos out intro separate windows if need be, but now by default everything will be neatly packed into a single window.
